From the mischievous minds of Full Out Formula comes “I Think It Could Work” a daring and playful leap into the unexpected. With bright colors, dazzling acrobatics, and unflinching trust, this Chicago-based contemporary circus collective invites you into a speculative world where your choices decide their destiny. It’s circus like you’ve never seen before—live, improvised, and unforgettable. “I Think It Could Work” is a radical exploration of acrobatics, trust, and audience interactivity. The show weaves together partner acrobatics, juggling, handstands, and physical storytelling to question the very nature of circus as a fixed discipline. The audience actively influences elements of each performance, ensuring that no two shows are ever the same. This work embodies the intersection of risk, play, and collective decision-making, pushing the boundaries of circus beyond traditional spectacle. As an ensemble, Full Out Formula challenges the audience’s expectations of what circus can be, engaging them as active participants rather than passive spectators.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Full Out Formula is a contemporary circus collective that makes people believe in the possibilities of their own world. It’s a sneaky but feral rebellion. Sticks, eggs, the floor, and our bodies are portals to endless discovery. Liam likes to dance with objects. Kevin has spent thousands of hours playing with sticks, and Sierra prefers to be upside-down. We’re not here to show you what we can do that you can’t. We’re here to ask “what can we do together?” Our goal is to give play and light to those feeling heavy, and to show that American circus has something important to say.
Almanac is an award-winning contemporary circus company dedicated to original works of genre-defying art. Since its founding, Almanac has premiered 16 full-length shows, touring across the United States and internationally in Mexico, Egypt, Croatia and the United Kingdom, popping up from Jacob’s Pillow to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Unlike other performance companies with a singular focus, Almanac uses a collection of genres to push physical limits and put raw humanity on display. We believe that the artful sharing of original stories is a service to humanity. The deep themes and narrative structures of Almanac’s hybrid work take circus beyond “spectacle” into the realm of exploring our innermost truths.f Liam Bradley (they/them) – Perfmoer Liam is a 24-year-old non-binary circus artist from Chicago.
