Whether it be reliving moments from our past or creating scenarios in the future, this precarious space is playfully and cautiously occupied with a unicycle, some sticks, and an artist. Exploring themes of life, grief, and the space before death. The show features acrobatics, unicycle, and juggling as we follow the journey of a person given the space to grieve their own existence.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Full Out Formula is a contemporary circus collective based out of Chicago, IL. Our mission is to create work that challenges the form of circus and brings the art form to audiences in ways they’ve never seen before. Our creative practice focuses on the novel use of circus to enhance the message of stories told on stage and off. We fundamentally believe that circus has barely scratched the surface of its ability to relate to audiences and to create meaningful change in their lives. Our desire is to bring circus to people that them believe in the possibilities of their own world.
Kevin Flanagan (he/him) is a classical guitarist turned circus artist born and raised in Bronxville, NY. He grew up in the tiny town playing pretend with his neighbours. At the age of 10 he started taking guitar lessons with the guitar his dad had played 30 years before him. After high school and many guitar recitals he went on to Ithaca College to study classical guitar with Pablo Cohen. While at school he stumbled upon a circus club on campus. Very quickly he realized that juggling was a passion all its own. Every hour not spent in a practice room was spent throwing things in a gym with his friends. In his junior year of college Kevin devised his own 40 minute circus show. After music school, Kevin went on to study at the Circadium School of Contemporary Circus specializing in partner acrobatics and unicycle. Kevin’s work can be described as delightful, subtle, and playful. Since graduating school he has performed with such companies as Circus Evo, Midnight Circus, The Tonight Show, and many more.
