Random cool fact about yourself?

I am a former competitive figure skater! I still skate weekly.

Favorite thing to do/visit around Philly?

The Philadelphia Art Museum is amazing, I especially love the Monet paintings.

Favorite restaurant in Philly?

HipCityVeg! I always go there as a treat.

Who is your role model?

Taylor Swift, I am the biggest swiftie of all time. But I also love Michelle Zauner from the band Japanese Breakfast. Her new book is amazing!

What do you hope to get out of this internship?

I hope to learn more about marketing and advertising! I also want to help FringeArts achieve their goals from a marketing perspective.

What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

A perfectly symmetrical oak tree in a hilly field of green grass.

What is your favorite movie?

Spy Kids 3.

Random cool fact about yourself?

Two bat encounters and a rabies vaccination.

What do you do to unwind?

Lip sync for my life dorm room edition.

What do you hope to get out of this internship?

I hope to learn how to research contemporary art, artist, and art happenings in the context of curation, development, programming, and social responsibility. I

also hope to learn how to manage artists, understand what that entails, and provide that to the best of my ability.

Jack (He/Him)

Arcadia University, English with a Concentration in Creative Writing

Communications Intern

Why did you choose to intern at FringeArts?

It has provided opportunities for learning that I have not gotten anywhere else. Communications was a newer field for me, and I have been able to break into it by doing the work this internship requires.

What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

So far, Dublin, Ireland. It was my first time leaving the country and it was amazing, both similar and different to America. While there we met an Irish Eagles fan, which was awesome.

Favorite restaurant in Philly?

My favorite restaurant found exclusively in Philly is Yamitsuki, a ramen & sushi place in Chinatown. Not only is the food great, but the decor and atmosphere are as well.

What do you do to unwind?

I really try to stay off my phone, and when I can actually manage that I usually watch YouTube, read too many books at once, and occasionally write, either fiction or poetry.

What do you hope to get out of this internship?

Anything that an internship can offer I’d say. Work experience, connections and a network, references, and the chances to meet new people and do things I could not have done before.

Aulona Noka (She/her)

Wandering around the city with my friends and visiting the beautiful cafes/restaurants while enjoying each other’s company.

La La Land or Howl’s Moving Castle or Perks of Being a Wallflower. So many good movies to choose from!

What do you do to unwind?

I love to watch a show/movie or read a comforting book to unwind.

What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

London, UK! It was truly amazing and I hope to travel more in the future!

What do you hope to get out of this internship?

I hope to strengthen my design, communication and collaboration skills. I also love to connect with new people!!

What do you hope to get out of this internship?

I hope to learn about working with artists in a non-academic sphere and working in the Philly arts community and learning what it means to uplift community art, artists, and give space for new works to thrive!
