FringeArts internships offer training for those whose career interests include all facets of nonprofit arts administration and management.

What was your first dream job as a child?
A botanist!! Very much a nerdy child 🙂
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. Visiting Indonesia
2. Driving from Philly to the Grand Canyon
3. Writing music with Jon Bellion
What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
Learning to cook!!
What is the most important thing you have learned at your internship thus far?
I have learned so much about archival processes and the importance of memories.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“You can fail at what you don’t love, so you might as well fail at your passion.”

What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
Baking, very long walks/exploring the forest near my house, and dancing with my hamster.
What is one new skill you want to learn?
I’d love to learn how to identify more constellations!

Bassett’s Ice Cream at Reading Terminal Market.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t not do something because you’re scared!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Always ask questions when you don’t understand.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. Live in New Zealand 2. Contribute to Food & 3. Own a food truck
What’s your favorite restaurant in the Philly region?
Hardena in South Philly.
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
Going to a local bakery every day after school to get free samples of carrot cake.
What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
Watching Taskmaster.
What is one new skill you want to learn?
Both color grading video and at least one skateboard trick.

What is one new skill you want to learn?
I was never taught how to ride a bicycle as a child, so I would have to say riding a bike.
What is the most important thing you have learned at your internship thus far?
Thus far, I have learned a lot about time management and the history of FringeArts.
What’s your favorite restaurant in the Philly region?
I adore Square Pie in Bella Vista.
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
Going to see Broadway musicals with my Mom. She took me to see some of my first Broadway musicals, including The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Mary Poppins.
What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
Baking! I also enjoyed masking up and exploring Philadelphia on foot.

How to operate our ticketing system.

Learning to cook!!
What was your first dream job as a child?
An opera singer.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
To let go of the idea that things “could’ve been any other way”.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Things that are easy to do are also easy not to do.
What’s your favorite restaurant in the Philly region?
This is a tough question, there’s so many to choose from. There’s a cute little Greek place called Effie’s on Pine Street. It has great food with a cozy vibe. They also have a charming back patio for outdoor dining.
What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
I got to spend a lot more time pursuing personal art projects. I love creating digital art and making music! I also tried to make an effort to go outside as much as possible, so I went for a lot of long walks.
What is the most important thing you have learned at your internship thus far?
Though I’m not quite sure what the single most important thing is, I’ve gotten great experience in general from working in this professional environment so far. I’ve learned the importance of communication, collaboration, and readiness to learn new skills and programs. I’m so grateful for this wonderful opportunity to see how an organization like FringeArts functions!

What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
My brother and I would binge-watch movies together! My personal favorites were the Saw franchise and Star Wars.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
This is a tough one and I may answer more than three but… in no particular order… I want to experience the Northern Lights, go scuba diving, see the Eiffel Tower, road trip across the United States, go on a trip with no technology, and visit all the continents of the world!
What was your first dream job as a child?
I wanted to be an astronaut because I always thought it would be cool to fly through space!
What is the most important thing you have learned at your internship thus far?
Sometimes you don’t get things right the first time and that is okay! It’s all part of the learning process. Everyone at FringeArts cares about one another and wants to see each other succeed!
What’s your favorite restaurant in the Philly region?
Talula’s Garden has a great atmosphere and even better food!

You grieve yourself everyday so you can grow.

What is the most important thing you have learned at your internship thus far?
The tiniest details mean the most!
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
Staying in my grandparents’ NYC apartment in the summer.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?
My parents, sister, and I went to a movie theatre to watch the 25th anniversary of Les Misérables when I was nine. It was the first grown-up musical I had ever seen, and – as a theatre kid – it completely changed my passions forever. After that night, I knew I wanted to be involved in the performing arts for the rest of my life.
What was your go-to quarantine pastime?
Baking! Through countless cakes, cookies, and creams, I have gone through a LOT of butter, sugar, and flour.
What was your first dream job as a child?
I really wanted to be a princess, which I stand by at the age of 20!
What is the most important thing you have learned at your internship thus far?
I’ve learned about the importance of being a jack-of-all-trades; working for a not-for-profit is all about being adaptable and ready to learn a new skill at any moment. I love getting the chance to form all of these new abilities while strengthening the ones I already have.
